Isca Lodge welcomes applications from joining members and people from all backgrounds who wish to become a Freemason. The Lodge aims to empower members to be the best they can be by building character, supporting fellow members as individuals and helping them make a positive contribution to society.
All Freemasons are encouraged to assist potential Candidates in their pursuit of Freemasonry once that person has voiced an interest however, you need to make the first step by approaching a Lodge or a Freemason!
Although Freemasonry itself is not exclusively confined to men, the United Grand Lodge of England to which the Isca Lodge subscribes, does not admit women.

There are several ways to become a Freemason and you don't need to be invited. The easiest method is approaching someone that you know is a Mason, and inform them that your interested in joining. If you don’t know anyone who is a Freemason, your next step is to make direct contact with the Isca Lodge.
The Lodge will reply to your enquiry and if required we can arrange to meet up to discuss your query in a relaxed social environment. This will make it easier for you to find out more about us, and we can also find out a little more about you. We will also go through the application process with you in detail.
If you are happy to proceed with your application, you will be invited to attend an Interview, which will be conducted by the Lodge Interview Panel. The Lodge Membership Officer or your Proposers will be able to answer any questions you may have about the format of the Interview.
The Interview will take place at the Masonic Hall, where you will be asked a few questions. There will also be time for you to ask the panel any further questions that you may have. The Membership Officer or your Proposers will support you through this part of the process.
Following the Interview, the Membership Officer or your Proposers will propose your membership to the Lodge Committee and the members of the Lodge for consideration. Your application will then be a balloted (voted) at the next regular meeting. Following that meeting you will receive notification regarding the outcome of your application.
If your application is successful, you will be provided with the date of your Initiation, along with guidance on how to prepare for your ceremony and what you will need to bring with you on the night. The Lodge Membership Officer, Mentor and your Proposers will be on hand to help you to prepare for your Initiation and answer any questions that you may have about the Ceremony or Festive Board.
At the end of the evening you will have started your Journey as a Freemason and a member of the Isca Lodge.
